Currently owned by John Izokatis, this former barbershop turned town staple has been serving the residents of Buchanan for 35 years.  B&W Olde Village Inn offers favorites like juicy, fire-grilled hamburgers, fresh salads, soups and sandwiches.  But the restaurant just might be known best for their gyros.  Frosty schooners can be found at eh bar and along with free popcorn, patrons will find a friendly staff and atmosphere.

One of the go-to places in town for freshly made sandwiches, Gary Z’s Sub Shop, under the new ownership of Craig and Ann Marie Moliter continue to serve up homemade sandwiches such as their BBQ pork and chicken salad along with brownies and treats form Buchanan’s busy lunch crowd.  The Molitors, who have owned a craft and sewing shop for 15 years, say they’ll offer daily soups in the winder and recently celebrated their one-year anniversary with the sup shop in June.

Making new Memories in downtown Buchanan are owners Jim and Diane Bergum.  The two took over the establishment known previously as Pointer’s and fondly as Booster’s before that, in February of last year.  Now, Bergum says he’s focusing on food, family atmosphere and fun.  The new, extensive menu has kept the classic Booster Burger, a half-pound of beef that can be made 10, 15 different ways, while also featuring specials like Prime Rib on Thursdays and fish on Fridays.  Inside the building, which has been a part of the downtown landscape for over 100 years, Bergum says Memories is the only bar in the area with tall drafts on tap including a variety of 8 microbrews.  Wi-Fi, live trivia and live music is also featured at Memories.
